Why Do We Do It?

Why do we blog?
For me it's been hugely theraputic and calming.
Yes, if my husband saw it we'd divorce.
If my 'ex-friends' saw it I could face disciplinary at work.
If my past lovers could see it, they would not like it perhaps.
But I still do it.

So why do you?

partly because i enjoy playing with words, i think.
but also because - just now and again - you feel you are meeting people you like and respect, and learning from them.

its helps me make friends im shy and it has helped me addres some emotional issues that have plagued my life the big bonus has been meeting some lovely new friends

'Cos I'm a lonely o'l git with nothing better to do and no real friends.
Seriously, I've continued to blog as it provides a forum for me to express myself in an honest way. I may not be a prized writer, but that doesn't matter here. I'm probably more honest via my blog than I am with my friends. Strange and sad that....

1. Because I like to write
2. Because it started as "therapy" to try and better understand me.

But the added bonus I didn't expect was first the support and then the friendships with new people...and all the bits that have blossomed!

It's fun to have an imaginary place to put things that can't be viewed and judged by those important people you mentioned. I like to write but writing is hard. It is nice when people like your writing.
